About MapMeHealthy
A calm online system for movement, nourishment, and longevity.
MapMeHealthy helps you find a simple place to begin when the body feels tired, tense, scattered or out of rhythm.
It brings together:
-
- The Body Map
- Gentle movement and Qigong
- Breath and stillness
- Practical Protocols
- Food Alchemy
- Healthy ageing guidance
- The women-centred foundations of BalanceHER
There is no correct order.
You do not have to complete everything.
You begin where the body is speaking.
What Is MapMeHealthy?
MapMeHealthy is the practical online home of Amanda Lan’s BalanceHER method.
It translates deeper movement traditions and women-centred wellbeing principles into short, accessible guidance for ordinary life.
Some people arrive looking for help with tired eyes or tight shoulders.
Some are navigating emotional overload, hormonal change, grief, fatigue or a body that no longer responds well to being pushed.
Others simply want to move, eat and age with a little more awareness.
You do not need to know Qigong.
You do not need to understand traditional Chinese theory.
You do not even need to consider yourself particularly good at wellness.
You only need somewhere sensible to begin.
One Ecosystem, Three Different Roles
BalanceHER, MapMeHealthy and Access are connected, but they are not the same thing.
BalanceHER Is the Method
BalanceHER is Amanda Lan’s women-centred well-being method.
It brings together movement, breath, grounding, nourishment, body awareness and practical support through the changing seasons of a woman’s life.
It is the root of the work.
MapMeHealthy Is the Online Guidance Space
MapMeHealthy is where the ideas become easier to explore and use.
The public website includes:
-
- The Body Map
- The Practice
- Short Protocols
- Food Alchemy
- Educational articles
- Free support guides
- Practical starting points
You can explore these freely and return whenever something feels relevant.
Access Is the Optional Membership
MapMeHealthy itself is not hidden behind a membership.
Access is the optional paid membership within MapMeHealthy.
It offers gentle continuity for people who want new guidance organised over time without repeatedly searching, choosing and starting again.
There is no locked progression.
Nothing asks you to catch up.
Access simply brings the different parts together more quietly.
Guided by the Body Map
MapMeHealthy is structured through three connected regions.
Upper Region — Clarity and Calm
The head, eyes, neck, shoulders, breath and busy mind.
Begin here when life feels mentally crowded, screen-heavy or difficult to switch off.
Middle Region — Harmony and Flow
The chest, waist, abdomen, breath and emotional centre.
Begin here when life feels stuck in the middle or when nourishment and daily rhythm need more attention.
Lower Region — Grounding and Strength
The pelvis, hips, legs, feet and physical foundation.
Begin here when the body needs stability, mobility, rooted strength or a stronger relationship with the ground.
No region works alone.
The map simply helps you choose a doorway.
Where the Practice Comes From
MapMeHealthy was created by Amanda Lan, a 7th Dan Shaolin martial artist, 5th Duan International Health Qigong Technical Coach and founder of BalanceHER.
The work draws from:
-
- Traditional martial arts
- Health Qigong
- Tai Chi and internal movement
- Yuan Qi Qigong
- Chinese medicine-informed principles
- Women-centred movement education
- More than three decades of embodied practice and teaching
- Amanda’s background in design and practical systems thinking
These foundations give the work roots.
They are then translated carefully for modern bodies, modern schedules and ordinary homes.
You do not need a training hall.
You do not need special clothing.
The cat may walk through the room.
Life is allowed to remain life.
Lineage-Informed and Evidence-Aware
MapMeHealthy respects the difference between tradition, experience and scientific evidence.
Traditional principles are identified as traditional.
Amanda’s teaching observations are shared as experience.
Modern research may be used to provide context where it is relevant and appropriate.
The site does not claim that every traditional explanation has been clinically proven.
It also does not dismiss long-standing embodied knowledge simply because it developed outside modern laboratories.
The aim is honest translation—not exaggerated certainty.
What MapMeHealthy Is Not
MapMeHealthy is not:
-
- Medical treatment
- A diagnostic system
- A replacement for individual healthcare
- A punishing fitness programme
- A restrictive diet
- A test of discipline
- A giant course library you must complete
- Another place designed to make you feel behind
The guidance is educational, adaptable and choice-led.
You decide what to explore.
You decide when to stop.
You remain responsible for seeking appropriate professional care when needed.
Designed for Low-Pressure Use
Every part of MapMeHealthy is guided by a few simple principles.
Short
Guidance should fit into real life.
Practical
You should be able to understand where to begin.
Revisitable
Useful practices are often the ones we return to.
Adaptable
Bodies, energy and circumstances change.
Non-Forceful
Pain and exhaustion are not proof of effective practice.
Calm
Wellbeing information should not create more panic than it resolves.
Women-First, Not Women-Only
BalanceHER was created women-first because women’s bodies and lived experiences have too often been overlooked, simplified or treated as inconvenient.
MapMeHealthy carries that women-centred foundation.
Some general movement, breath, food and healthy ageing guidance may also be useful to men, partners and families.
Women remain at the centre of the BalanceHER work.
Others are welcome where the guidance is appropriate.
Part of the Shaolin Café Ecosystem
MapMeHealthy sits within a wider body of work developed through Amanda and Dr Jeff Lan’s long-term practice.
This includes:
-
- BalanceHER — women-centred embodied wellbeing
- 1MindBodyFitness — martial arts and internal arts practice
- SA Health Qigong — structured Health Qigong education
- Zen Deezign — creative strategy and knowledge design
- Shaolin Café — the connecting practice and publishing hub
You do not need to understand every branch to use MapMeHealthy.
The wider ecosystem simply shows where the experience, lineage and practical knowledge come from.
How to Begin
You can begin with:
-
- The Body Map when you are unsure where to start
- The Practice when you want to understand the movement foundations
- Protocols when something feels off
- Food Alchemy when nourishment needs attention
- The Library when you need language or context
- Access when you want gentle continuity
Choose one.
Take what helps.
Leave the rest.
The Body Is a Map
MapMeHealthy does not ask you to become a different person before you can begin.
It asks you to notice the person already here.
Your body.
Your life.
Your present rhythm.
Listen where it speaks.
The body is a map. Listen where it speaks.
